Police in Breckland are appealing for witnesses after three crimes involving the theft of metal during the past week.

The first occurred between 12am and 2.50pm on October 11 in Hopton Road, Garboldisham. Underground telecommunications hatches were entered and cables cut.

The second took place between 4.30pm on October 11 and 7.30am the next day in a field in Didlington. Two 8ft x 5ft water troughs valued at £300 were stolen.

The final theft occurred between 4pm on October 9 and 6am on October 14 at a commercial premises in Caxton Way, Thetford, when copper piping and wiring was taken, estimated to be worth £3,000.
