The cash came from sales of Breckland Hero, an ale specially brewed by Iceni Brewery last year to welcome home troops based at Swanton Morley.
Since it was launched, 10p from each pint sold has been collected for the Army Benevolent Fund and Help Our Heroes.
And at the King's Head in Norwich, one of the pubs which sold the beer, a cheque for 800 was handed over to the charities which give support to injured servicemen and women.
