Some of the county's leading cancer researchers are heading to Dereham next week to give people the opportunity to learn more about the disease.

The Research Roadshow is organised by Norfolk cancer charity, Big C, and will see scientists from Norwich Research Park at the University of East Anglia answer frequently asked questions such as, how cancer is contracted, what it looks like, and the chances of there ever being a cure.

Nikki Morris, deputy chief executive at Big C, said: 'We're proud to fund research to diagnose, treat and prevent cancer. The researchers are looking forward to leaving their labs and going 'on tour' to open discussions about cancer with people across Norfolk. It's also a wonderful opportunity for the public to discover more about the world-leading cancer research projects that are taking place on our doorstep.'

The roadshow will take on Market Place, Dereham, on June 2, from 9am to 4pm.
