Children at Kings Park Infant School, Dereham, were visited by several feathered friends. They had the opportunity to get close to birds of prey including Ice the snowy owl and Arwen and Bilbo, the Indian eagle owls.

They had the opportunity to get close to birds of prey including Ice the snowy owl and Arwen and Bilbo, the Indian eagle owls.
The children also saw a harris hawk and a barn owl, were treated to a flying display and given the opportunity to stroke Arwen.
Mark, of Norfolk Falconry, told the children how the birds used their highly sensitive hearing to catch their prey.
Oliver Burwood, headteacher at Kings Park, said: 'We try to give children a variety of learning experiences while they are at school. This visit not only linked to year two's topic but teaches children respect for the natural world and appreciation of their environment, something we are very keen to promote.''
