A mid Norfolk restaurant has been blessed by a prestigious Buddhist monk while on a visit to the UK.
The New Inn, Beetley, hosted the Revere Phra Sakayaputtiyawong on Monday, November 6, where he delivered prayers and blessings to assembled staff and guests.
The monk was visiting the UK as part of a trip to Europe, and stayed at the Wat Arun Buddhist centre while in Norfolk.
The Inn is run by manager Winitra Krud-In, known to her friends and customers as Dah, and chef Ammarin Thapthongdi.
The Revere was accompanied by monks from the centre who helped him with the ceremony, which consisted of prayers, chants and offering to Buddha.
The Revere also advised that he found the UK very cold compared to Thailand.
Dah said: 'It was a great honour and privilege to have the Revere visit us and conduct a blessing of the New Inn staff and guests.'
