The three candidates to take over Cliff Jordan's old seat on Norfolk County Council will set out their stalls at an upcoming hustings, which will take place outside if the weather is nice enough.

Labour's Harry Clarke, Conservative Ed Connolly and Liberal Democrat Andrew Thorpe are running in the Thursday, July 12 by-election for the Yare and All Saints position, which was left vacant after former council leader Mr Jordan resigned, and since sadly died, in June. Graham Tuttle, chief executive of the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, has been invited to chair the hustings, which will take place on Tuesday, July 10, from 7.30pm, at Yaxham Village Hall.

Residents will have the chance to put questions to the candidates. The division includes Bradenham, Cranworth, Garvestone, Great Ellingham, Hardingham, Little Ellingham, Rocklands, Saham Toney, Scoulton, Shipdham, Whinburgh, Westfield and Yaxham.
