A calendar celebrating picturesque Dereham cottages has been created to raise funds for the Light Dragoons.
Mark Piper, manager of Dereham barbers' shop Dads and Lads, has taken pictures of the 'Gingerbread Cottages' throughout the seasons and has created a calendar from the images.
He hopes the finished article will raise cash for the Light Dragoons Charitable Trust.
The Swanton Morley-based regiment is on a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
The charitable trust provides support to serving and former soldiers and to their families.
Mr Piper made a Christmas card of the Gingerbread Cottages, which are on the corner of Quebec Road, for his family and friends last year.
Because they were so popular he decided to come up with the calendar.
So far, 200 copies have been made. They cost 5.50 each, and a minimum of 1 from each sale will go to the trust.
The calendars are available in Dereham from Dads and Lads, Eagle News, Starlings Toymaster, Just Kitchenware, Chambers, the Tesco supermarket and Toftwood Convenience Stores.
You can also buy the calendars by sending a cheque for 6.60 (5.50 plus 1.10 for postage and packaging), made payable to M Piper, to Dads and Lads, Unit 4, Glencoe Court, Cherry Tree Car Park, Dereham, Norfolk, NR19 2AX.
