A mid-Norfolk charity has thanked its community for the support it receives.

Caring Friends, based in Swanton Morley, is a group made up of volunteers with the aim of looking after the needs of those affected by cancer.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We are so grateful to those who support us and especially the Romany Rye in Dereham where we meet each Friday in the conference room.”

The groups meets at the JD Wetherspoon-owned restaurant between 10.30am and 2.30pm and cancer patients, friends and family can get information, sit quietly or talk about their treatment, diagnosis or recovery. This provides a hub for support and arranging therapies.

The group also raises funds for therapies and benefits for people diagnosed with cancer.
This Friday, March 23, the group will be drawing its Easter raffle.
