Plans have been submitted to Breckland Council to change the use of land at Church Farm in Church Lane to allow for five static shepherd huts, three disabled camping pods, a camping pitch area and toilet and bathroom facilities.

The applicant is also asking for permission to buid a new dwelling and reception building to serve the management and maintenance of the camp site.

A design and access statement, submitted with the application, says the proposal will provide 'a high grade camping and leisure facility that will help serve and sustain the local economy with tourist income being brought into the area'.

It adds: 'The site facilities will provide inclusive access to all with disabled camping pods with linked alarm calls to the associated dwelling providing 24-7 support if required.'
