A sixth form college in Norfolk has been rated among the top schools in the country after their success in A-level results.
Reepham High School and College was placed in the top 1pc of post-16 schools nationally by monitoring organisation, Advanced Level Performance Systems (ALPS), which noted it had achieved consistent success over the past three years.
The rating is based on a detailed analysis of A-level performance against 2,890 schools and colleges across the UK.
Headteacher Tim Gibbs, said he was 'very proud' of the result and he hopes to maintain the high standard.
'Last year 89pc of our grades were A* - C but more than this, two thirds were graded B or above and over a third of our results were at an A or A* level,' he said.
'We're so proud of all of our students, they worked very hard and achieved what they deserved - one in nine achieved a minimum of A*, A*, A.'
He went on to say that there is no secret to the college's success and it is all down to hard work by the students, as well as the staff.
'We promote independent learning and the college works very hard to support students as they develop both as young adults and academics, he continued.
'A-levels are tough no matter where you study them, so we work very hard to provide excellent teaching and caring pastoral support for all of our students. One of the many reasons for this success is the way academic and pastoral support is tailored on an individual basis, trying to meet each student's unique needs.
'This result is not due to any tricks or short cuts. Each year we continue to assess and improve our provision and we firmly believe that our high standards and attention to detail, allows our students to perform at their best.'
Mr Gibbs also emphasised that students at the college come from all across the county. 'The success is an achievement for all of Norfolk and not just Reepham,' he added.
In the college's last Ofsted inspection, conducted in 2016, it was rated as outstanding and noted that it had been successful in its 'unwavering' determination for all pupils to have the opportunity to achieve their best in an academic environment.
The report credited the success to an 'ethos of respect which permeates all areas of the school.'
