A couple had to be rescued from their vehicle after it got stuck in water during a downpour.
A Norfolk Fire and Rescue team came to the aid of the couple, who found themselves unable to drive away or get out of their vehicle when they were on Broom Green Road, north of Dereham, during heavy rain this morning (Monday, April 2).
A Fire and Rescue spokesman said: 'They had driven into flood water and we went over and assisted getting them out of the vehicle.
'They assisted them out of the vehicle by carrying them. They were in about 2ft of water.'
The spokesman said the road had been closed by the Highways Agency due to flooding.
