St Nicholas Church, in Dereham, opened its doors for children to learn about the Easter story.

They were able to make good news board games, concertina Easter story eggs, a Digger Rabbit Easter garden story card or containers with mini eggs, and greeting cards. They also played air hockey or Lego, and joined in Revd Canon Sally Theakston's game of eggs.

During worship time, Evelyn Speed read her book Digger Rabbit and the First Easter.

A cross was also blessed and dedicated to the late David Webster, former verger of the church and scout leader in the town. It will be used at all future sessions.

The morning ended with eating hot cross buns donated by the Co-op, Cadbury's Creme Eggs donated by Morrisons and a selection of Easter cakes and biscuits made by volunteers.

The next session will be Tuesday May 28, during the half-term holiday.
