Judges from the EDP and Dereham Times walked every corner of the town centre to pick their favourite shop window and were unanimous in choosing the design created by the sales negotiators.

Joanna Lobb, Zoe Ryder and Octavia Heath were presented with a trophy by senior reporter Kathryn Cross. Ms Heath said: 'We have really tried to throw ourselves into the community spirit. We spent several hours on the display and borrowed props where we could. Other pieces have been specially made by family.'

The team added that they were pleased to see so many businesses getting behind the bid to improve the town's Christmas lights.

Highly commended were Daisy's, PACT, Ana's Deli, Top Cuts and ICare.
