Customers were greeted by BP M&S staff in fancy dress, and were able to take part in a series of entertaining activities.

The event organised by the filling station chain backed East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and its vision to transform children’s palliative care for Norfolk.

In total the event raised £5,585.71 for the charity’s nook appeal, with the Dereham branch raising £959.34.

Sophie Mayes, EACH Norfolk corporate fundraiser, said: “It was amazing the lengths some of the BP M&S staff went to for this weekend of fundraising and I’m so pleased customers got involved with the activities.

“Building of the nook is progressing well, but we still have some £2 million to raise before it’s completed, so support from the business community in Norfolk like this is vital.”
