The owners of an independent dog groomers in Dereham have said they would like to thank the community for their support over the past year.

Janette Chamberlain and Wendy Barker opened Shampooches in February 2017 and they are now preparing to celebrate their first anniversary by offering customers a 10pc discount.

They said: “Starting a new business for the first time is a nerve racking experience, but we both agreed Dereham was a friendly, dog loving town and perfect for our little grooming salon.

“Given the number of customers throughout the year its clear Dereham has a large number of dog lovers. We are in no doubt that we made the right choice and feel fortunate to be welcomed as part of the community and to share our enthusiasm for dogs.”
