Alex Locke, James Page, Ben Muller, and James Lavers competed in the East Anglia regional final of the Top of the Bench Science Investigation Day organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

After a series of practical and problem solving activities, the group of students from years 9, 10 and 11 were overall winners out of the 14 competing high schools.

The event was hosted by Norwich agricultural biotechnology company, Bayer Crop Science, and managed by the University of East Anglia.

The team will represent East Anglia in a national competition in 2010.
