What is normally a town of shoppers, workers and school children has been left virtually empty as locals adhere to a national lockdown.
Our video team have taken to the streets of Dereham to show just how quiet the town is.
The public have been advised to only leave their homes for essential food shops, an hours exercise close to home or trips to get medication.
This week, the government is set to reassess its lockdown measures and reveal the nation’s next step in its response to the Covid-19 outbreak, with the expectation being that the period will be extended beyond the end of the week.

In yesterday’s media briefing on the outbreak, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has suggested “it is still far too early” to talk about easing lockdown measures in the UK.
