A man from Dereham has been handed a three year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) following an attempted burglary.

Guy Franks, 30, from Moorgate Road in Dereham, appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 20, and was found guilty of attempting to burgle a house in Low Street, Hardingham, on Friday, September 30, 2016.

He was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.

Mr Franks was also handed a three year CBO, which prohibits him from entering Hardingham as defined by the parish boundaries.

The order also prohibits him from entering the yard, garden or driveway of any private dwelling or from attempting to enter any dwelling other than where he lives without express permission of the occupier.
