Year seven student Hollie Stanley was a finalist in the 2017 Miss Teen GB beauty pageant.

But the kind-hearted 11-year-old proved she was far more than just a pretty face.

Finalists were asked to fundraise for the children's charity - and Hollie rose to the challenge, raising a total of £1,007.40 for the cause.

To raise funds, she hosted an afternoon tea, ran an outdoor event, and even took on a sponsored swim of 500m.

Hollie said: 'I wanted to raise as much as possible because it was for children.'

She added: 'The pageant was fun. I met new people and got to wear pretty dresses.'

The final was held in The Globe Theatre in Blackpool.

Hollie was congratulated for her efforts by Neatherd staff, who encourage students to take part in charity work.

She was also praised by Miss Teen GB for being one of their top fundraisers.
