Most valuable performers were awarded across nine different sports which included Harvey Flynn and Sophie Barnett in football, Cameron Mason in rugby, Georgia Clements in netball and Thea Tooke in hockey.

These awards were also handed out in cricket, where Lewis Watts and Katie Ballingall were honoured, as well as rounders and handball where Kelly Summerford and Kathryn Mason were given the awards respectively.

Former pupil and current Norwich City FC footballer Todd Cantwell also visited to share his experiences of making it as a sportsman and to give out some awards.

There were honours for those who have improved the most over the past year, with Oliver Fountain picking up the year 9 award, while Storm Bunn was the winner for year 10 and Jordan Mackay for year 11.

There was real competition for which sports teams would be named the best in each year, however the year 9 award went to the handball team who were recently named Norfolk champions.

The year 10 title was given to the rounders team, who made it to the semi-finals of the south Norfolk competition and in year 11 it was the rugby team, who finished as runners-up in the county plate competition.

Harvey Brown’s courage and positive attitude to recover from injury and get back to playing rugby saw him given the the Dani Nimmock perseverance award.

The sporting gesture award aimed to honour someone who had acted generously in the name of sportsmanship and this year it was given to Marcelo Ramos, who was presented with it for providing a post-match packed lunch to a visiting rugby team which he paid for himself.
