The organisers of Dereham's neighbourhood watch group are encouraging people to attend a meeting in November to discuss community issues, including safety concerns over the A47.

A fatal accident on September 30 prompted calls for drastic actions to be taken to improve safety on the busy road.

A number of Dereham residents voiced their concerns over social media and the organisers behind the Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel said they hope to provide a forum for further discussion.

The meeting will be attended by police officers and a number of councillors who can discuss issues and answer questions relating to the A47 along with any other problems in the community, such as anti-social behaviour and vandalism.

The meeting will be held at the Breckland Council Chambers on Wednesday, November 29 at 7pm.
