A Dereham high school is one of the first in the county to provide an online careers website for its pupils.

The site is packed with information and guidance on careers, work experience, apprenticeships, colleges, sixth forms plus life skills such as health, bullying, finance and relationships.

School librarian Angi Beckett has collated the information and links and gave a demonstration during a launch event on Wednesday.

She attended a virtual careers course with careers co-ordinator Lindsay Byford and it as the inspiration for the site.

Ms Byford said: "It is a wonderful source of information and is easy for form tutors to use with their classes. It is far more accessible thann a piece of paper in a big folder."

Year 10 student Adam Cross, 15, said: "It's great to be able to look at the sixth form courses that are available. I can start thinking about what A-level courses I would like to do soon rather than later."

Specially printed stickers have been made available for all students to promote the web page.
