Pupils from schools in and around Dereham took part in a colouring competition in the run up to Easter.

The event was held by the Green Pastures store in Dereham and invited pupils to get creative by colouring one of two images.

There were more than 100 entrants but there could be only six winners – three infants and three juniors.

The entries were shortlisted by staff and volunteers and picked by the chairman of the trustees, Lance Birks.

“The competition has given the children an opportunity to think about the Easter story and judging all the entries was incredibly hard,” he said.

Prizes were awarded at a ceremony on March 23 and included Green Pastures gift vouchers and a family cinema ticket. The entries were displayed in the store until Easter weekend.
