Students from a Norfolk school uncovered historical treasures from their own lives when they opened time capsules buried three years ago.

Students from Reepham High School sealed the time capsules on February 6, 2015, when they were studying a unit on time.

Inside the capsules they packed photographs, notes from friends, predictions and a letter written to their future selves, then sealed them and agree to reopen them three years later.

English teacher, Ros Thacker, said: 'There were tears, there was uproarious laughter and there was the need for quiet reflection as well.

'Childhood sweethearts had long since split up, height conscious boys had shot up and in some cases, loved ones mentioned in letters had passed away. When you're well into your adulthood, three years seems like nothing but when you're a young teenager, it's a good percentage of your life.'
