Fire crews from Fakenham and Dereham were called to a home in North Elmham at about 9.30am this morning after a small fire broke out in a home in Eastgate Street.

Fire crews from Fakenham and Dereham were called to a home in North Elmham at about 9.30am this morning after a small fire broke out in a home in Eastgate Street.

It is thought it was caused by a light fitting which was fitted flush in a false ceiling in a downstairs room in the home.

The home owner quickly spotted it and turned off the electricity and called the fire service.

It was put out quickly and the area checked before the crews left just before 11am.

t At 9.45am a crew from Wells were called to a chimney fire in a home at Priory Crescent in Binham. It was associated to a woodburner in the home. Chimney equipment was used to put out the fire and the crew left the scene at 10.15am.
