A road in Honingham is to be closed for a month because of continuing work to install a roundabout on the A47.

The Highways Agency's six-month project to improve safety on the Mattishall Road junction with the A47 began in September. Mattishall Road closed today and will be shut for the next four weeks. A diversion route has been set up via Berry's Lane.

An Agency spokesman said the roadworks were going well and on schedule. The new roundabout and street lighting are set to be completed next March subject to the winter weather. Work will be suspended over Christmas from December 19 to January 5.
