Talented photographers are being given the chance to shine as entries open for a top regional talent contest.

The fourth annual Breckland Photography Competition is inviting photographers to submit their best work taken in the region in one of four different categories.

Landscapes, plants, animals and wildlife can be entered into the Nature in Breckland competition, while Architecture in Breckland should attract snaps of historical and modern buildings within the area.

Movement and action should be captured for Active Breckland, while experimentation and computer manipulation will be rewarded in Creative Breckland.

Entries for the competition, organised by Breckland Council, close on September 3 so there is plenty of time to get snapping.

Submitted work will be judged by a professional panel and the winning photographs will be displayed in a touring exhibition hosted in turn by each of the five Breckland market towns.

Entry forms and further details can be found at www.breckland.gov.uk/calling_all_photographers. Forms are also available at Wayland House in Watton, Zuari Caf in Attleborough, Iceni at Swaffham Community Centre, Dereham Library and the Tourist Information Centre in Thetford.
