A youngster from Dereham is celebrating being named as a semi-finalist in the Little Miss Teen Great Britain contest.
Hollie Stanley’s dream is now to represent her home town in the final and be crowned the winner.
The 10-year-old was chosen to be a Junior Attendant in the Dereham Carnival in 2016, and said it was that that has made her enter the competition.
“I absolutely loved being in the Dereham Carnival, and it made me want to do something similar,” she said. “I found out about this competition and decided to give it a go. I am so excited to have made it to the semi final. It is a great achievement. Making it to the grand final would be a dream come true – fingers crossed I will be able to represent my hometown and win the crown.”
The Grand Final will be held at The Globe in Blackpool. Organisers say it is not a beauty contest but a “positive and confidence-building experience”.
