Trainer Venetia Williams and jockey Aidan Coleman have notched up winners galore recently and the combination eye a double on Fakenham's seven-race card this afternoon.

They have great chances in the feature race, The Tim Barclay Memorial Handicap Chase at 2.45pm and the novice hurdle at 3.20pm.

Williams has two declared in the feature although Browns Brook, due to run at Leicester yesterday, is unlikely to run. Coleman is booked for the stable's Elenika.

The grey gelding was second at Ludlow after finishing third in January at Wetherby. Main rival is Fakenham specialist Full Ov Beans. Under claimer Ally Stirling, the Michael Gates trained 10-year-old won at Fakenham on January 23, following an earlier track success on New Year's Day.

The novice hurdle has five runners but is still hard to call. David Pipe sends Doctor Harper from Somerset with Tom Scudamore booked to ride the gelding, fifth at Cheltenham in December after two Exeter victories in November.

But the Williams/Coleman pairing has a big chance with six-year-old Bobble Boru. The mare chases a hat-trick after winning at Ludlow and then Wincanton on Boxing Day.

Saffron Wells, from Neil King's Newmarket stable under Trevor Whelan also has a squeak after a last time out success at Market Rasen, the gelding having been second at Fakenham in December.

Local trainers have hopes of starting the meeting in style in the hurdle at 1.15pm. Bressingham's Fleur Hawes runs Cappielow Park under Mikey Ennis while Wymondham's Caroline Fleur runs County Zen.

Cappielow Park was second at the course on New Year's Day while County Zen is a course winner but was pulled up in the last meeting at the track.

Five are declared for the Andy Don Memorial Beginners Chase over three miles at 1.45pm where two newcomers to chasing, Spirit Oscar and Destroyer Deployed, head the market.

Leighton Aspell rides Oliver Sherwood's Spirit Oscar, third over hurdles at Plumpton in January after earlier hurdle success at Fontwell and Lingfield. The Tim Vaughan trained and Richard Johnson ridden Destroyer Deployed makes a chase debut after finishing down the field in a Cheltenham hurdle in December. The one with the best chase form is Mondo Cane, second at Sedgefield in January for the trainer/jockey father/son combination, Charlie and Adam Pogson.

Another field of five contest the hurdle at 2.15pm where Aspell rides course winner Mistral Reine, whose main rivals is Daryl Jacob's partner Crookstown for Ben Case.

The finale, at 4.30pm should go to Peter Bowen's Rons Dream under Donal Devereux, the filly having been second in two similar events while the William Bulwer-Long Hunter Chase at 3.55pm could go to Swallows Delight, fourth at Cheltenham in May.
