An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a popular 24-year-old who died after a road crash near Thetford.

Bradley Raper, who lived in Brooks Drive, Scarning, near Dereham, died on Wednesday, October 3, the day after he was involved in a road collision on the A1066 near the Shadwell Estate.

Norfolk coroner's court heard on Thursday, October 11 that Mr Raper, a furniture remover, died at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The cause of death was given as traumatic brain injury.

The inquest was adjourned for a pre-inquest review on January 10 next year.

Tributes have been paid to Mr Raper. His mother, Sallie Denmark, said: 'He was just my world.'

A keen sportsman, he played for both Bradenham Cricket Club and Dereham Cricket Club, as well as following Norwich City Football Club.
