An inquest has opened into the death of a 50-year-old grandmother who suffered head injuries after falling down stairs in a complex of flats where she lived in Dereham.
Elizabeth O'Shea - known as Libby - died in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Saturday, hours after she was found by friends at the bottom of the stairs at Beech Court, off the High Street.
A post-mortem examination found that Mrs O'Shea - who has children Kerry and Adam and a granddaugh-ter Chloe - suffered head injuries.
The inquest was opened by Greater Norwich coroner William Armstrong on Wednesday and adjourned while further inquiries are carried out.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs O'Shea - whose maiden name was Stearman - but they are still looking into the events which led up to her death.
An ambulance crew was called at about 9.45pm on Friday and took her to hospital, where she later died.
Police were called at about 11.20pm and the area around the scene where she was found was cordoned off.
One man - aged about 50 - was arrested and he helped with inquiries but has been released on bail.
