Members of Dereham Lions have been busy stitching uniforms for teddy bears which are given to youngsters involved in traumatic events.

Pam Goldsmith, club president and Janet Spauls have used newly learnt sewing skills to create uniforms for PC Teds, teddy bears which are used by police officers to help comfort children who may be in distress following an accident or traumatic event.

Creating uniforms for dozens of toys, the bears will be sent to Norfolk Police's headquarters in Wymondham before going out on the road with officers.

Now the pair are encouraging others to lend a stitching hand and help make uniforms for even more PC Teds.
