A man accused of murdering a convicted paedophile appeared before a Norwich court via a video link yesterday.Royston Jackson, 42, of Pettus Road, Norwich, appearing from Peterborough prison, told Norwich Magistrates' Court he was not guilty of the murder, although this was not a formal plea.

Royston Jackson, 42, of Pettus Road, Norwich, appearing from Peterborough prison, told Norwich Magistrates' Court he was not guilty of the murder, although this was not a formal plea.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on March 30.

The body of Gordon Boon was found at Rabbit Lane, Great Witchingham, on October 6. Mr Boon, of Westwick Street, Norwich had previously served a six-year sentence for two offences of indecent assault and two of serious sexual activity.
