A 21-year-old man was headbutted and punched in the face at a Dereham service station.
Police said the man was walking with his girlfriend at the Lynn Hill station on Yaxham Road when a man called out to them.
The man verbally abused the couple and then attacked the man before leaving the scene.
It happened between 1.20 and 1.30am on Thursday.
