Man in court over church break-ins

A 21-year-old man is due in court today in connection with a series of break-ins at churches in the Dereham area.

Gary Franks, of Dereham, has been charged with burglaries at All Saints in Necton, St Nicholas Church in Dereham, Dereham Baptist Church, Dereham Christian Spiritual Church, St Mary's Church in Elsing, All Saints Church in Swanton Morley and All Saints Church in Shipdham.

Gary Franks, of Dereham, has been charged with burglaries at All Saints in Necton, St Nicholas Church in Dereham, Dereham Baptist Church, Dereham Christian Spiritual Church, St Mary's Church in Elsing, All Saints Church in Swanton Morley and All Saints Church in Shipdham.

All the break-ins occurred during the night of December 12/13.

He is due before Swaffham Magistrates' Court.
