Children and staff at Mattishall Primary School, near Dereham, have challenged themselves to plant 1000 trees in the school grounds.

School spokeswoman Claire Findlay said: 'As part of this challenge Year 3 have planted 105 trees which have been kindly donated by the Woodland Trust.

'It is hoped that the mixed woodland trees will enhance the school grounds further.

'The school would also like to thank volunteer gardener Robert French for his continued support. He seeks out projects that the children can engage in.
