A Dereham mum has spoken of her pride, after her severely dyslexic son achieved 4 A*s and a place at Cambridge.
Het Milton, from Shipdham, Dereham, hopes that her son Gulliver's story will give hope to other children who are struggling, and their parents.
She described Gulliver's education as 'a struggle,' and said that simple things which were taken for granted by other students, proved difficult, and frustrating, for her son.
'He could easily have sworn off school but something kept him going,' she added, describing her pride that he had never become 'disheartened'.
'A good SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) is worth their weight in gold,' she added.
'Any parent with a child who needs support will know they need to fight hard to get it - and they shouldn't have to.'
Gulliver Milton will study natural sciences at Cambridge from September.
