STUDENTS at the JDT music school in Dereham are celebrating an 'amazing' set of results in drumming, singing and guitar exams.

Almost 30 talented young musicians sat exams at JDT, which is on the Rash's Green Industrial Estate and is a centre for Rock School. They achieved a clutch of distinctions and merits in levels up to grade eight and marks as high as 92 pc.

Janel Spalding - who set up JDT - said the teaching format had been changed and there were tutors for each stage such as intermediate and advanced to give more help to students.

'It shows it is working and the results are amazing. We are beaming with them!'

There are now about 200 people on the books and the school is doing more daytime work with local nurseries, primary schools and having contact with organisations such as Autism Anglia and Sense.

JDT can be contacted on 01362 694817.
