The wellbeing of pupils at a Norfolk high school is set to benefit following a fundraising initiative.

Northgate High School, in Dereham, recently received a cheque from Tesco for just over £743.

The money was raised by the purchasing of books donated to the school by the local community.

The books were sold during the whole of March at Tesco’s Dereham Extra store on its fundraising table.

The money raised will be going towards resources to support learners and will include items for the school’s sensory garden and indoor space to promote student wellbeing.

A spokesperson for the school said: “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated or purchased books.”
