Norfolk’s first dedicated baby nursery has been officially opened by Norwich City footballer Anthony Pilkington.
The Canaries ace was joined at Little Owls Day Nursery in Toftwood by his wife and children and Johnny and Justine Watts, partners of the nursery, who have been managing children’s day nurseries in the Dereham area since 1989. Mr Watts said at the opening: “Today is the accumulation of 12 months of hard work.
“Since beginning our search for suitable premises we have encountered numerous hurdles, but today makes it all worthwhile. We thank our wonderful staff and parents for their continued support and RW Duffield builders for completing the whole building project in nine weeks.
“We would both like to say a big thank you to the Pilkington family for officially opening our new baby nursery. Jo Pilkington, Mr Pilkington’s wife, said: “We both feel very fortunate that we are able to send our boys to such a wonderful nursery.”
