An office building which lay vacant for years will soon open as a hub for a Norfolk estate agent.

The office on the corner of Oak Street, Fakenham, was previously a Citizen's Advice Bureau and an adult education centre. It has been on the market for several years, but is now being renovated.

On September 2, it will open as a heaquarters for the estate agent Sowerby's, their tenth office in the county.

Paula Tuck currently works out of the Wells office, but will soon be the manager in the new building.

She said: "Fakenham has always been a hole in our coverage, so it's the natural thing for us to come here.

"There are many new homes being built across the county, and demand has increased. This office will allow our new homes team to invite developers in, so it won't just be a sales room.

"I don't live far away, and I've worked in Fakenham before, so it will be like coming home for me."
