A former Fleet Street photojournalist and picture editor is visiting Dereham on Friday, September 26, to give a talk on her time in Fleet Street.Entitled A Female in fleet Street - tabloid tales of a photojournalist, the talk by Deborah Brady will entertain with the sometimes crazy stories in the world of press photography.

A former Fleet Street photojournalist and picture editor is visiting Dereham on Friday, September 26, to give a talk on her time in Fleet Street.

Entitled A Female in fleet Street - tabloid tales of a photojournalist, the talk by Deborah Brady will entertain with the sometimes crazy stories in the world of press photography.

Deborah began her career with national newspapers as the first female photographer for Today, then worked on the Daily Mirror and Sunday Express, before she became assistant picture editor at the Times.

The talk will be at Dereham Meeting Point (7 for 7.30pm), and tickets cost £5, available on the door or from Alex Noel-Tod (01362-695943)

The talk is the first in a monthly series running until April 2009. The programme of local and national speakers includes Paul Howell (Norfolk's first MEP), Wally Webb of Radio Norfolk, EDP columnist Neil Haverson, Norfolk historian Neil Storey, and former MP for South West Norfolk, Lady Gillian Shephard.
