A play written by a prominent television writer is set to be performed by the Dereham Theatre Company in March.
Kay Mellor's A Passionate Woman will begin a three night run on March 8 at the Dereham Memorial Hall.
The play tells the story of Betty, a doting mother who finds it hard to accept that her son is getting married and leaving home. On the morning of the wedding, she retreats to the attic where she relives her long-lost youth and the affair she had before being married.
It has previously had a long run on the London stage, as well as having a TV adaptation starring Sue Johnston and Billie Piper.
Dereham Theatre Company have been performing for 70 years and had big success last year with the sell-out adaptation of Dad's Army.
They will stage the play between March 8 and March 10 at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale at the theatre group's website or from Bright and Beautiful Flowers shop in Dereham.
