Police cadets from Dereham have taken part in a charity bag pack to raise money for Norfolk's Neighbourhood Watch charity.

The small group of cadets headed to Dereham Tesco on Wednesday to help families stocking up for Christmas with their packing.

All of the donations went toward supporting Norfolk Neighbourhood Watch and an upcoming cadet hiking trip.

The administrator of the charity, Terry Cross, helped to organise the event with Tesco Dereham.

'It's great to see the Dereham police cadets helping the community, they are very committed. As a charity we rely on donations and we are very grateful to the cadets who took time out to help,' he said.

'The money they raised was equally split between the Norfolk Neighbourhood Watch and their planned hiking trip.'

The Police Cadets is a youth organisation which teaches young people important policing skills.
