Detectives have confirmed the death of a man whose body was found at a flat in Dereham in February is not suspicious.

Police were called to a property in Boundary Close at 2.45pm on Friday, February 3 after concerns were raised for the safety of a man at the flat.

Upon arrival at the property, police discovered the body of a 48-year-old Stuart Yates.

An investigation was launched with the death initially being treated as unexplained.

Post mortem examinations proved conclusive.

But following various tests police have confirmed the death was not suspicious.

A file will now be prepared for the Norfolk Coroner’s Office.

Following the discovery of Mr Yates’ body a cordon was put in place and officers carried out door to door enquiries as part of the probe.

Boundary Close is on the Pavilion Way estate, off Norwich Road.
