POST office services are to return to Bawdeswell with the opening of an outreach service hosted at All Saints' Church in the village.

The church doors will open for Post Office Ltd on Tuesday, January 6, and services will be available every Tuesday and Friday from 9am to noon.

The introduction of a hosted outreach service to Bawdeswell is being made after the closure of the post office branch in September tfollowing the resignation of the sub-postmaster and withdrawal

of the premises for use as a post office.

At Bawdeswell, the post office service will be hosted at All Saints' Church, The Street, Bawdeswell, Norfolk NR20 4RT by the sub-postmaster from nearby Mattishall branch.

A post office spokesman said: “Post Office Ltd is committed to providing customers with access to our products and services. The introduction of an innovative range of Outreach Services, like this hosted service in Bawdeswell, will ensure communities can continue to benefit from post office services.

“We hope that our customers

in Bawdeswell will support the

sub-postmaster in this new venture.”
