More than 60 customers finally had their electricity supplies restored tonight after a power cut which earlier affected a large part of Dereham town centre.
The town's police station, the Orchard Surgery and shops in the Wrights Walk and Chapel Walk shopping centre off the High Street were without power for about three hours from around 7am-10am due to the overhead power line fault.
The surgery was without its booking system, shops had to stay shut and the police station relied on a back up generator.
Power firm EDF said a total of 267 customers in parts of Dereham, Whinburgh and Shipdham were affected.
Supplies were restored to 204 of them by 10.05am but workmen had to continue trying to deal with the problem affecting the other 63.
An EDF spokesman said 59 customers were back on at about 4.20pm and the final four had electricity back on at about 4.40pm.
