The owner of a post office targeted by ram raiders said his business has taken a “severe blow” but things are getting back to normal.
A stolen JCB was used to smash through the front of Johnson’s of Reepham during an early morning ram raid on Wednesday.
The audacious crime left residents shocked and caused extensive damage to the small business, which is run by husband and wife team, Douglas and Carole Johnson.
“The business has taken a severe blow but we are still here,” said Mr Johnson. “The community has been fantastic, people come to see what happened and they’ve given us a lot of sympathy.
“We managed to get the power back on in the post office and sorting office so that is open and deliveries have resumed. We need to get the shop up and running but that might not be until Friday or Saturday.”
A Norfolk police spokesperson said enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
