The official Christmas card from Sowerbys estate agents in Dereham was designed by a nine-year-old from Mileham Primary School, and will also raise money for the Norwich-based charity Nelson's Journey.

Rather than use a standard corporate card the firm decided to ask local schools to enter a competition to draw their home at Christmas.

First prize was awarded to nine-year-old Fred Foulkes from Mileham while second prize went to four-year-old Jaden-Taylor Hill from Scarning Primary and third prize to Laura Garrod, 10, from Brisley Primary. All three winners were presented with framed copies of their artwork by child bereavement support worker Lorna Vyse from Nelson's Journey.

Proceeds from the sales of the cards have already raised more than £600 for the charity, which is dedicated to supporting bereaved children throughout Norfolk.

Lloyd Sandy, Sowerbys managing director, said: 'The quality of the entries, of which we received over 150, was staggering and it was incredibly difficult to choose the winners. We are immensely proud to have raised over £600 for Nelson's Journey, with more money still coming in from the sale of the Christmas cards.'
