Conservative Kate Millbank is the new member representing the Humbletoft ward on Dereham Town Council, after she won tonight's by-election.
She received 193 votes, whilst Labour's Linda Goreham got 145, the Green's David Bowyer 47 and Independent candidate Mark Broughton, 43.
There was a 20pc turnout with 428 votes cast. The by-election was called following the resignation of Diana Irving in September.
